very surreal...occasionally i read my friends' online journals which in turn connect me to other blogs and find myself reading all about the life of people who i really don't keep in touch with (just because we weren't close or anything)most of the time these blogs don't have their names so i'm there trying to figure out if i know this person who's studying in the uk/talking about laksa/referring to friends we seem to share.when i do realise who the writer is, it's abit 'oh. oh, okaaaaay wow, cool' and a little 'ooh. should i be reading this? am i a stalker? omg, i am. i'm an internet stalker what am i doing? quick! exitwheresthefuckingclosebutton?! gogogo!'yeah.but i guess the first time you stumble upon someone's page (even if you never revisit it again) it's pretty nice... you know, just to remember who they were and to see what they've gone off to do. and though you may never hear about them again or never even think of them, for that moment you care and you're interested.sadly, a little care and a little interest for a person or stranger (who is of no benefit to you) is becoming increasingly rare these days.other than that, the internet is getting so dull these days.i basically read about design/architecture/art/fashion, do research, look at the news, check the weather (seriously, i look at weather.com about every hour - you know, just in case the temperature decides to suddenly increase by 15 degrees) and of course, see how friends are doing all over the world, blah, blah, blah i mostly just absorb information that's 99% useless.since this is a whole bunch of text and could be quite taxing on our hibernating minds, i've included some visual aids that may or may not be entirely and ridiculously unrelated.
this last one must be seen. it's a 3-photo panorama and there are no special effects or digital manips. fireworks, a comet and a lightning storm in perth. we still don't got shit on nature.
